Mohanlal in Grandmaster Movie review

Story :
Mohanlal takes up the role of a divorcee in the film,Grandmaster. He lives alone in a dark and violent city. Even when unlawful incidents take place around him, he withdraws himself from all responsibilities and is happy to live quietly. But he is forced to change and take up his duties and responsibilities. Like a grandmaster who anticipates his opponents moves well in advance, he proceeds forward. But only once, just once, he makes a fatal mistake.
Review :
First half of the movie is little bit slow, which tells the family & love of  Chandrashekhar (Mohanlal)  but it catches up the speed at the end of first half ,with the game begins between Chandrashekhar and the serial killer. second half has everything in it which leads to an excellent climax scene. but to some extend the climax is a predictable one.
Good :

Mohanlal : Once again a good police officer role for & he did it with ease & excellence.
Priyamani : Good and done the romance with Lal perfectly.
Direction : Good, Unnikrishnan did it well.
Climax : Excellent ending with suspense
Music : Nice music, especially background music of the film.

Bad :

First Half : First half of the film is little bit boring and moves very slowly, which should be avoided in a suspense thriller.
Lack of thrilling scenes, for a suspense crime thriller which is an essential part.

Verdict : A good watchable crime suspense thriller.
Rating :  Hit 3.5/5
