Mammootty seems to have a penchant in teaming up with fresh faces, even in the case of his directors or heroines.
The latest to join him as a fresh heroine will be Aleesha Muhammed.
A radio jockey by profession, she will play the role of Rosy, a school teacher in Mammootty's new movie 'Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty'.
The movie which will follow the misadventures of German based NRI, played by Mammootty, is currently on sets at Ernakulam.
Mohanlal will play the role of a retired military communications expert in the film, which will be extensively shot in Hyderabad. Besides Mohanlal, the film apparently has two other big names playing prominent roles. Mohanlal’s reel roles in films such as Douthyam, Pingami and the Keerthichakra series, combined with the actor’s honorary title of  Lieutenant Colonel in the territorial army, has made him the first choice to play roles of a military officer. The latest film that will have him in such a role is P Anil’s Memory Card.
The successful duo P.Anil and Mohanlal is to team up again for another action thriller which has been titled Memory card. Certain events bring together three people Mohanlal’s character, a police officer and another person in the city and the story moves forward in the backdrop of a high profile investigation. Both Mohanlal and Prakash, who had worked together in Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar, were supposed to team up last year for Ranjith’s Spirit before the latter had to opt out due to scheduling conflicts.
Incidentally, the film is also the comeback vehicle for director Anil, who has helmed the trendsetting action film Douthyam in 1989 and later, Suryagayathri.
