Mithra Kurian marriage with William Francis

So, the last celebrity marriage to be announced in 2014 may be that of Bodyguard fame Mithra Kurian. Her’s is a love cum arranged marriage and it’s Mr. William Francis, a keyboard artist hailing from Thrissur, stolen her heart. Their friendship bloomed during an US trip in 2012 which eventually turned into love.
Mithra, whose original name is Dalma Kurian, made her filmy debut with Vismayathumbathu,but shot to fame with her role in Dileep starrer bodyguard. William has been in the movie field for a long time as a keyboard artist and have worked with Gopi Sundar, Ouseppachan etc. Some of his contributions to Malayalam movie world includes “Arike”, “Thiruvampady Thampan” and “Laptop. Mithra is the daughter of Baby and Kurian and hails from Perumbavoor, Kerala. She is a relative of Nayanthara and they acted together in Bodyguard.The wedding will be in January 2015.

Director Priyadarshan and wife Lissy file for divorce

The rumours of split between the couple has been making rounds since the start of the year

This year Malayalam cinema had witnessed a high profile divorce as the 14 year long marriage of Manju Warrier and Dileep had come to an end. Looks like Mollywood is set to see yet another couple walking the same road as we hear that ace filmmakerPriyadarshan and his actress turned entrepreneur wife have filed divorce.

Lissy released a press statement saying,”It is with profound sadness that I am announcing that myself and Sri  Priyadarshan have decided to get separated after 24 years of marriage. I have filed for divorce today in Chennai family court. Both our children and close friends are aware of this decision. As you can imagine it is a very difficult period in our lives and I request all of you to respect our privacy.”

While the reason for divorce is not disclosed, speculations are rife that the couple had personal differences on matters of money and friendship outside marriage. If you jog your memory a little, earlier in the year the paparazzi was abuzz with the rumours of split between the couple. But both Priyadarshan and Lissy had rubbished all the rumours. Now with the news of divorce between Priyadarshan and Lissy, it seems like there were some truth in the rumours as there is no smoke without fire.
