Kaniha and Lakshmi Rai will act as heroines in Lal directed Mammootty film Cobra. Lakshmi Rai would be Lal's heroine and Kaniha would be seen opposite Mammootty. The shooting started on Chalakudy.
The story of Cobra is based on two co-brothers: Mammootty as Raja and Lal as Kari. However, Lal and Mammootty have acted together in many super hit films like Thomanum Makkalum, Black, Best Actor, etc., this would be the first time that Lal directs a Mammootty film.
Sasikumar, Innocent, Lalu Alex, Reji (Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya fame) and Harishree Ashokan would be acting in Cobra.The movie will be jointly produced by Mammootty's 'Playhouse' and Lal's 'Lal Creations'. Cobra is likely to be released on February. 2012.
